Vanity Search

The assignment for week one was to conduct a "vanity search" to explore our digital footprint.  Oddly, perhaps, I have only "Googled" my name once or twice.  I was not surprised, however, at what I found: professional networks such as LinkedIn, and Twitter; professional and graduate school resources such as district webpage, Prezi, Wordpress, Goolesites, Blogspot, Glogster EDU, Spelling City, and Pinterest; and personal information that I really wish they would not publish in public databases.  There is no such thing as "Private" on the internet.  Even if you ask for your information to be unpublished, somehow it still appears.

I enjoy having access to information, but as I conducted my vanity search I couldn't help but feel somewhat vulnerable online.
